Pump Jack
This was the coolest model I’ve seen all quality parts and everything went together without a hitch except for the light. The connectors the light plug into do not fit in the light housing. Everything else is spectacular though. Well worth the money.

Excellent build experience with EngineDIY’s oil pump model !
This is an excellent kit. It is refreshing to find accurate metal models of high quality. The base was converted from accepting 2 AA batteries to a USB charging circuit and
a LiPo cell and that is an excellent touch. The instructions could use more color and bigger building step diagrams but the one included is fine. The extra parts, although
unnecessary for us is another excellent touch. I’ve ordered another one already, and look forward to enjoying even more kits from EngineDIY.

All the tools were included and the entire kit was setup pretty well. The manual showing the parts was very necessary as I did have some issues deciding what part was called for in the directions. It took about 4.5 hours to construct. I find it very entertaining!

It’s a nice unit, tolerances in the gear box are poor, but some super glue on the the shaft/gear takes care of it. An additional o ring the right size above the spring inside the pump helps with seepage. The customer care is poor at best. I’ve needed help on a couple of different purchases, and care is non existent. They answer sometimes, then ignore the reply to their requests.

Looking for something to reflect your life’s work?
This kit was as nice as you will ever find, very well showcased and labeled to identify each and every part. A very nice instruction manual on building, and each part identification. I really enjoyed building this replica a lot and was a snap to assemble. I was so happy with this that I will be ordering their 5 cylinder radial engine soon. I used to fly planes and worked in the oilfield for 33 years and these kinda represent that milestone. Don’t concern yourself with the 219 parts it was fun…..

Good kit but wrong size bearings supplied
The kit was good but bearings supplied for gear box counter balance arms were to large. It took quite a bit of time to determine this originally thinking I was doing something wrong. I ended up enlarging the bore where these parts went. Most will not have the tools to this.

Great kit for the price
This kit is a great starting point. I wanted to modify it a bit, so I stripped off the anodizing and polished and painted most of the parts.
I added a bit of plastic liner in between some of the loose pivot points to remove more slop and replaced the plastic fill tube with some aluminum tubing.
I made a custom wooden base as well.

Oil Pump Jack model review
Very high quality model. My first I ever built from enginediy. I was impressed with the boxing and the instructions were first notch. The model works well and I get many compliments on it. I highly recommend this model if you love all kinds of machines like I do.

Good Build
Generally well made and a good building experience and nice finished product. I personally would have probably liked the unit without the led lamp. The lamp is mostly plastic and does not really add much to the final aesthetic. My led also did not work. Again, small enough of an issue that I still think 5 stars.

Model is great, I had one minor problem, the bearings sent in the kit were the wrong size, to big. Once I contacted the company and explained the problem they quickly sent the correct ones and everything went together perfectly. It’s nice to see a company stand by there product and make things right if there is a mistake. Can’t wait to try my next project from them.
